  1. How long does it take to provision a customer portal?
    1. A new customer portal is typically provisioned within 1 business day once we receive all the relevant information from the sales teams and client. Information we require for provisioning the portal include basic customer detail, licensed features and editions.
  2. How long does a typical implementation take?
    1. Customer implementations range from 3 days to 3 months depending on the complexity of integration required by the customer, and the number of systems that need to be integrated. In short though, Matchbook can accommodate varying timelines and schedules and can move as fast as the client needs us to.
  3. What does the onboarding process look like?
    1. During onboarding, we work closely with the D&B post-sales and onboarding team to do a few key things (high-level list of activities):
      1. Provision the portal
      2. Determine integration processes and define tag strategy
      3. Add user API keys to the portal
      4. Add users to the portal
      5. Do match analysis (D&B team) and identify initial match rules
      6. Configure all rules in the portal
      7. Provide user trainings
      8. Support customer integration efforts
      9. Create monitoring registrations and configure monitoring within the portal
    2. Matchbook has a detailed implementation checklist that we use with all client onboardings to ensure nothing is missed and that your experience is the best possible.
  4. Is there a cost for onboarding?
    1. Yes. Matchbook charges a one-time fee for onboarding.
  5. Does onboarding need to be on-site?
    1. No. We provide all onboarding services remotely.
  6. Does Matchbook use APIs?
    1. Yes. All of our communication with D&B systems take place using the Direct 2.0 and Direct + APIs. Matchbook has customer-facing REST APIs that allow the customer to integrate with Matchbook either in batch fashion or real-time.
  7. Can I use Matchbook to make real-time calls?
    1. Yes. Our real-time APIs encompass all rules set within the platform to facilitate match, auto-acceptance, enrichment, and monitoring processes through real-time calls.
  8. What does Matchbook Live API functionality do?
    1. Our Live API integration provides a single call access to the complete custom matching and auto-acceptance logic within Matchbook Services, while also performing all necessary downstream processes for the same data (enrichment/registering for monitoring/ etc.) and returning all relevant information from the single set of calls into Matchbook. The data can further be preserved in Matchbook for a 2nd integration of the same data into another platform, if desired.
  9. How does Matchbook interface with my data?
    1. Matchbook acts as a service layer between your data and systems and D&B’s data platform. Customers interact with Matchbook either through our REST APIs or via the Cloud (Portal) platform:
      1. API – uses API Services to allow users to import/export data from within Matchbook or make real-time calls
      2. Portal – allows users to directly interact with Matchbook by allowing the import/export of files directly within Matchbook
  10. What browsers does Matchbook accept?
    1. The Matchbook Portal should only be used with the following browsers: Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge.
  11. What file types does Matchbook accept?
    1. Data can be uploaded in a multitude of ways and formats:
      1. Excel, CSV, TSV, JSON, and custom delimited files
      2. Data can also be entered manually into Matchbook
      3. We can also support custom formats via customizations depending on client needs
  12. Is there a limit to the file size?
    1. No limit on file size imports, although we recommend limiting inputs to 2Mil records per input files and using txt-based files for data volumes over 100k records.
  13. Can Matchbook support the automation of uploading files? Exporting files?
    1. Yes. Our customers typically automate the import/export of files in a number of ways:
      1. Via our batch REST APIs for upload/download using typical ETL processes
      2. Via our command line-based Data Gateway using typical ETL processes
      3. Custom processes including file-based transfers via SFTP
      4. Other processes automation can also be supported via customizations
  14. How long does processing records typically take?
    1. Matchbook is highly scalable. However, the general limiting factor is the QPS that the customer is licensed to via D&B. For Cleanse Match, Matchbook can support between 35-50 QPS; and for enrichment, between 40-60 QPS, depending on the specific enrichment being extracted.
  15. Can I export data out of Matchbook? Formats?
    1. Yes. Exports can be Txt, Excel, CSV, TSV, JSON (via REST API).
  16. Can Matchbook customize outputs to be ingested by external client processes?
    1. Yes. Additional effort and fees will apply for any customization of output formats or to support custom processes.
  17. Can I submit Investigations via Matchbook to D&B for research and resolutions?
    1. Yes. You can submit Investigations within the Matchbook platform. Mini, Targeted, and Bulk Investigations are all supported:
      1. Mini – investigation where a company DUNS does not currently exist
      2. Targeted – investigation where a company DUNS does exist, but there are inconsistent data elements associated with it
    2. This is an entitlement that the client must be eligible for in their D&B subscription. All research updates and resolutions by D&B will be fed back into the Matchbook platform where the user can track progress.
  18. Is data enrichment supported? How does this process work?
    1. Yes.
    2. Once a DUNS # is assigned, Matchbook applies enrichment rules set inside the portal for records, and then pulls the appropriate enrichments from D&B that the client is licensed for. Finally, the data is processed and prepped for customer export.
  19. Is monitoring supported? How does this process work?
    1. Yes.
    2. Matchbook uses rules set within the portal to determine which DUNS need to be registered for monitoring. Matchbook also automatically processes change notifications daily and keeps the processed data ready for customers to consume in a standard format.
  20. Is my data protected?
    1. Yes. All data in our cloud platform is stored and encrypted using industry standards. We review all our data protection policies and processes on a regular basis to ensure that we continue to take into consideration evolving standards and threats. We also have a stringent data storage / purge policy that ensures we do not store customer data long term once it has been processed and consumed by the customer.
    2. Further, all customer data is isolated in individual customer DBs for additional security.
    3. Finally, all access to our customer data is strictly controlled via need based just-in-time access and firewalls.
  21. Where is the platform hosted?
    1. The Matchbook platform is hosted in the Microsoft Azure cloud.
  22. Can I create rules that impact how my data is matched?
    1. Yes. Matchbook allows users to configure specific match criteria (i.e. rules) that allow for very finely tuned auto-acceptance.
  23. How do I apply different rules to my data?
    1. With tags and country groups. Tags allow clients to segment data for data stewardship and create custom workflows and queues for varying client business entities and users.
  24. Can I separate out data by business units?
    1. Yes. By using LOB related tags.
  25. Can I control the data that Data Stewards have access to?
    1. Yes. With tags and user security settings.
  26. What are the SLAs of the Matchbook platform? How can customers request support?
    1. We mirror the standard D&B system SLAs.
    2. During the initial onboarding and implementation of Matchbook, all support requests will be handled and resolved by Matchbook. These requests should be directed to helpdesk@matchbookai.com. Once the onboarding is complete all support requests will then be initially directed to D&B detailed in point “c” below.
    3. All support requests will be initiated by the customer directly with D&B support via phone or the D&B support site. D&B support teams will triage and provide Level 1 and Level 2 support and escalate tickets to the Matchbook team as appropriate and necessary.
  27. How much does a license cost?
    1. License costs vary based on functionality required, data volumes, and number of users required on the platform. There may also be additional fees for add-on items such as additional environments (for dev/QA or prod).
